Greetings from the middle of a heatwave in Spain

It's hot here in summer, but this summer is a little too much. Hard to sleep at night, I'm waking up in a pool of sweat.. sorry too much info.

Last week I was telling you about Slovakia, and how damned efficient they are there. But also friendly and fun. And I was telling you that with the help of Katarina, we made some content for YouTube.. It was lots of fun!!

Travel Update

Regular readers will know that the circle of life goes on at AW and that involves constantly bringing you new products, and that involves travelling..

I have spent much of this week coordinating with our man in India, Mr Chatterjee, about an Indian tour in October.. and it's looking pretty epic. We are going gemstone hunting in regions unknown, hoping to open up new hippy textile connections in one of India's iconic cities and meanwhile catching up with old suppliers. Before that will be Indonesia, China and Nepal.. so a lot to organise.. stand by for adventure.

Trump Tariffs & Indian trade deals

Big wheels turning, who knows if this ends well or not.. we live in interesting times. So many moving parts I don't think anyone can predict how it goes.

One customer was asking if the India trade deal means cheaper incense.. Let's hope so! As far as India goes, duty on most things is single digit, so I'm not sure if we can save money, rest assured we will do our best to be the first to bring you better deals.

Holly has been working in our Social media team for just one month and has kicked one hell of a storm. Congratulations on some really informative and useful content. I can see you like it by the views and watch hours.. it's hard work , but I now feel good that YouTube content with some detail and substance is useful to you and your customers, helping you sell more!

This week Holly was doing a deep dive with Sandra, our talented designer, discussing her beloved Zodiac range of products.

Some new stock from Nepal came.. beautiful handmade lokta papers and notebooks, you have to see!

Next up is Halloween and the Aromatics are on the ball with new products already..

Greetings from Bali, Indonesia Yes, back on the island of the Gods. Well, after a couple of hectic weeks in China, Coco dropped us at Yiwu airport, said goodbye, and we took a China Southern flight to Guangzhou, where we transferred to a flight to Bali. Greetings from Yiwu, China. Every day is a wild adventure here, far too much to report in an update you will want to read quickly. Tomas and Sandra are here. Sandra is our talented designer from the UK the genius behind our best-selling Hop Hare Brand . So we brought Sandra here to see what possibilities are here and give her a major inspirational boost.  See below. David's AW News: Crazy Journey!

Greetings from Yiwu, China Hope you had a Happy May Day Weekend .. hope you were both busy and enjoying the weather! Wow! I just landed after a crazy journey from Goa to Yiwu.  Feeling a little battered.. not sure why. It's crazy that the two most populous nations on earth, who are also neighbours, have zero direct flights . And to make it worse, there are hardly any convenient connecting flights. So on Tuesday afternoon I took a taxi to Goa Dabolim airport with Mr Chatterjee, he took a flight to Kolcatta me to Bengaluru (Bangalore) - we said our goodbyes - Mr Chatterjee, emotional as usual. I stayed overnight at a local hotel and the next morning caught a flight to Kuala Lumpur.  It's the first time I have flown from Bangalore's newish International terminal, I was very impressed. The city is known as the Garden City, and the terminal is an extraordinary garden with a huge hanging flower bed and what seems like a river running through. Gardeners have to work in the...
