Greetings from Malaga, Spain

Happy Christmas Folks.. hope that trade is going good.

Right now it seems like all of AW is running on Full Steam.. all systems go.

Christmas is approaching fast. We are on day 9 of the 24 Days of Christmas Advent Calender.. showcasing our most popular and fast selling products.

Well it's almost Christmas.. when Ancient Wise Men first brought gifts and established the first Christmas presents. Since we are Ancient Wisdom - your favorite gift wholesalers.. we are bringing YOU gifts everyday.. Don't miss out it's day 2 already!!

Last week I was telling you about my arrival back in the UK.. and the shock of landing in Manchester. If you missed it you can catch up here.

It was great to see Rodrigo and Holly.. working on the next "Can You Sell This?" YouTube video.. and all see all the team working on full steam Christmas rush now full on.. Right on our Busiest Week Ever at Ancient Wisdom..

But this month is kinda crazy.. it's the beginning of the Christmas Party Season at AW.. and I'm expected - no duty bound to attend them all.. It's a hard life. So after little more than a week in the UK.. I headed to T2 at Manchester airport.. Which after my unfavourable review last week of Manchester arrivals.. I can report massive improvements since my last trip there.. they spent £1.3bn  on the departure T2 and it's awesome..so smooth and easy.. world class! Check in and luggage drop as easy as Vienna, Security (no need to take out laptops) better than Amsterdam, common areas better but not as good as most Asian International departures.. Easyjet flies from T2 but not Ryanaire for that reason alone you should switch.

So here in Spain

Main job here is to help Toni make the final choice of warehouse and enable a fast move.. I went to see two warehouses on the shortlist.. and approved one of them. Agreed a deal and it looks like we could be moving to our new home in Malaga pretty soon. Maybe even over Christmas. Things can happen fast in Spain..

It's going to be great.. We could have done with a bit bigger but warehouses are scarce these days. This is a warehouse 50% bigger,  pallet racking already in place, offices 300% bigger, space for a huge showroom and 3 container docking bays 2 drive in bays. So a big upgrade in infrastructure.. and importantly two or three nice lunch restaurants within walking distance!

This could be our new home in Spain.. wish us well.. The team in Spain will be busy beyond normal this Christmas. More updates soon...

Meanwhile in Bali

Tomas is almost on his last day.. and then he is back for Christmas..in UK and Slovakia.

He has been working long days.. with our teams in our IT development office, (who it seems never want to go home).


He has been very busy there..Now we have a solid key team..we have been recruiting like crazy.

Lots of things are happening - offices revamped, an extra room for the team to work in, bigger monitors, more powerful computers, better air conditioners. There will be a big expansion soon. And several key new projects launched.. I'll keep you updated because some of them could save you money or help your business grow.

Dropshipping Update

As part of that team we have a dedicated Drop-shipping section.. working REALLY hard to improve the AW dropshipping backend and systems. Now we have a system where bugs and issues come to the team directly from users.. and they are priding themselves on fixing things and improving things inside the day if possible.

Meanwhile.. stock arriving and the warehouse teams are working all hours to get your orders out..

David's AW News: About Tomas, Erika and Buddha

Greetings from Trnova, Slovakia. Yes, I'm in our Eastern Europe distribution warehouse.. Our big beautiful (Buddha) warehouse. On Wednesday afternoon, Tomas, Raul (the IT wizard), and me took an Uber to Leeds Bradford airport and boarded a packed and rowdy Ryanair flight to Bratislava. When we landed, all the Slovaks clapped and cheered, have you experienced that? I think only Slovak and Czech people do that.  Last week, I was telling you about sinkholes in Bali and our new arrivals. If you missed it, you can catch up here . Regular readers will know about our Trnova adventures. This is Tomas's home town, and after Brexit happened and we realised that selling into Europe to independent gift shops was just not going to work well, so opened a warehouse quickly here.. it has been wildly successful, and a few years ago we moved to a big, beautiful new warehouse - 6000 pallet spaces.  We wanted to make an amazing space that our team could enjoy working in.. Greetings from Bali Hope you are doing well! Last week I was telling you about our Java road trip, we went to beautiful Blitar City and I sprinkled petals in a special place.. if you missed it you can catch up here . I was also telling you what product comes from Blitar City and why you should be selling this. (see below) From Blitar we drove three hours to the nearest commercial airport in Surabaya. The route took us through small rural villages on almost dust track roads in real backwater Indonesia's, occasionally catching views of Mount Lima . Eventually getting to the new toll road then arriving in Indonesia's second mega city with modern fly-overs across the city to the beautiful and efficient airport. The contrast between rural and big city was dramatic...
