David's AW News: So Efficient So Slovakian!

Greetings from Spain...

Yes, I'm back home for a while.

Last week I was telling you about our beautiful Slovakia warehouse and all those Buddhas we have there, creating a calm and serene working environment. If you missed it, you can catch up here.

It was amazing working with the Slovakian team.. so organised and efficient. Something about Eastern European folk is so good at finding the best way to have a smooth workflow. Well done, team!

On Wednesday, I left Tomas and Raul working on the new dropshipping website (update below) and took an early morning taxi from Trnava, Slovakia to Vienna Airport.

More efficient stuff..

I'm so impressed with the stress-free check-in experience. No people, just scan your boarding card to get a luggage label, take luggage to the belt, here is the weight shown, scan the luggage tag and boarding card again .. And my luggage is gone. So quick, sweet and easy. All the airlines share the system. Austrian/Eastern Europe efficiency! Amazing.

Notes about YouTube

I'm very excited about using YouTube to showcase our products as a marketing tool. As you know at AW (from day one), we have never used salespeople that travel the country, never done trade shows - we rely on online marketing, newsletters like this, referrals and Adwords. But with the advent of AI - adwords is fast losing power, now good SEO and Social Media is the way AI finds its sources.  And lets face it, a video is more engaging and informative than a static web page alone.

So, I have been working hard getting young people like Holly and Rodrigo excited and organised to make useful content.

When you need to research new products to boost sales.. we have a YouTube playlist called:  Can You Sell This? when you have time, get yourself a coffee (or glass of wine) and watch us tell you about our favourite products, get to know the AW team and discover some great (money-making) products - that maybe you could sell.

While in Slovakia with the help of Katarina, our very able social media girl there, we made some content.. which I'll upload when I get time to YouTube..

But for now, we have a new "Can you sell this?" video from Holly in the UK.. showcasing one of my favourite products.. Copper bracelets.. this product is on its way to us and already seems to be trending in the UK.. so much so we are already sold out (but more on the way).

Dropshipping Update

OK, full disclosure.. this project has been a massive challenge.. a big investment, and I'm sorry if you have been using it and finding bugs.. Thank you for all the constructive feedback guys.. all of it is incredibly helpful...  Please stay tuned and have faith because I believe it will be amazing when it all comes good.

The Shopify API we had to take offline for new users this week because of reported bugs (thank you again) - I have just been told bugs are fixed and it's back online now.

I can see that we have a few super users who have been using it very successfully, and orders are flowing through the system. Soon, we are going to make some exclusive NO BRAINER products that you will not want to miss!

I'm working on something..

Today I'm visiting (my favourite team*) in the AWArtisan office in Malaga.

I'm showing everyone our new YouTube plan.. they are enthusiastic and so creative, already rushing around making content.. just not quite as efficiently as those Slovakians.. haha.

Maybe next week I'll share some of the Spain content..
