David's AW News: Dad's Day & Dropship Update

Greetings from Spain,

Hope you had a great Father's Day weekend!

Hi guys, hope you are doing well.

Yes, I'm back in Europe after 6 months of travelling. At my home in La Cala de Mijas.

It's kind of strange because it doesn't seem that long ago I was here, and also so much has happened that it simultaneously seems like years.

Last week I was telling you about our updates that are coming from the IT development in Bali and my thoughts on AI.. If you missed it you can catch up here.

I took a Turkish Airways flight from Bali to Istanbul business class, but I already experienced culture shock with grumpy staff who snatched my ticket, no eye contact, and no real human interaction.

Even on the most budget Indian or Indonesian Airlines nothing but friendly, gracious contact. But the food is nice and they give you a romantic (fake) candle when you are served food. Then a short change over in Istanbul to Malaga Spain.. 4 hours later, in the airport we landed with an almighty crash. I feel the landing gear must be damaged..but the captain never mentioned anything, just welcome to Spain etc..

Malaga airport.. wow so busy.. and the non-EU queue for passport control was horrendous. Backing up beyond the arrivals hall into the terminals.. with announcements saying please respect the staff, and we are working hard to resolve the delay. Fortunately (for me) .. I have a Spanish ID and skipped the line, only about four people in front of me. And super efficient Malaga airport had my luggage on the belt before I got there.. so I was out of the airport PDQ.

This is terrible and hits home.

This morning Mr Chatterjee (our man in India) messaged me about the Air India crash.. Before the news broke on the BBC. Oh my God.. That's a shock and so depressing. An Air India flight from India to the UK crashed just after takeoff. In the last year, I had three dreadful flights with Air India in a row.. cancelled, massively delayed, or bumped off the flight to the next one.. and useless communication. How could an airline be so badly organised? It gave me bad vibes, I swore off Air India and already advised my team at AW to avoid other Indian airlines like Indigo are excellent. But this is so sad. I pray for everyone affected. As the news unfolds this morning, this awful event is opening more questions than answers.

Exciting.. Dropshipping Update

The V2 update of our new Dropshipping system is in Beta testing.. we have the dev team in Bali working flat out. Our objective is to make it as easy as possible, and as quick as a Cappuccino to connect AW products to your website. No need to ship from China we have products ready to ship PDQ.

You can check out our new arrivals here. Please do let us know what you think, we are always looking for feedback!

Meanwhile, in the warehouse..

More and more products rolling in from India..keep an eye on that coming soon page!

So much that the warehouse team tells me that they are struggling to book all everything stock..

please be patient.. lots coming soon.

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Lots of peace and love, and happy trading.

David
