Happy New Year!

Hope that Storm Goretti is not causing you too much disruption.

This is my first official Friday newsletter of 2026.

This time of year is all about making plans.. looking forward and getting in a positive frame of mind.

Yes 2026 will be amazing.. we are already off to a great start with a swathe of new products landing already and more to come.

It's all happening this year.. 

In Spain, Toni and his team are in the midst of moving our warehouse.. Here's Toni pretending not to be stressed..

The racking is being assembled and repositioned today.. and some stock already being moved..

So a big welcome to 2026 at AW.

A new year always feels a little bit like  a fresh notebook. Clean pages. Big possibilities. And thinking Yeah!, “This could be a good one.”

At Ancient Wisdom, we’re choosing to believe exactly that. We have made a bold plan for 2026.. hope you are coming for the ride!!

This year already starts with some lively momentum.

Our new, larger warehouse in Spain is coming together — giving us more space, better flow, and better service for our customers across Southern Europe.  We will shortly expand our incense range in Spain.. the new warehouse will have a larger Tea packing / mixing area. The warehouse is bigger, but the offices are super spacious.. offering lots of possibilities for expansion..  hope you are coming for the ride!!

At the same time, a container has just landed, full of colour, craftsmanship, and the kind of products that remind us why we love what we do.

Behind the scenes, we’re also investing heavily in something less visible but hugely important — our Bali development and digital marketing team. Brilliant people, building better systems, smarter tools, smoother connections… all so doing business with AW becomes easier, faster, and more profitable for you.

And this is just the beginning. You will see all our websites dramatically upgraded over the next few weeks.. AW-Dropship.es is already using a new backend system that is already opening more possibilities for our customers.. 

She has not stopped working whilst she is here.. constantly on the phone or WeChat with suppliers.. and remotely monitoring container loading in our China warehouse in the early hours here.

Travel Plans 2026..

Follow me on my travels this spring as I move between the UK, Nepal, India, Indonesia and China — not as a tourist, but as a product hunter with a notebook full of ideas and our 2026 wish-list in my pocket. I’ll be sharing real stories from workshops, villages, factories and markets, meeting the real people behind the products, spotting trends before they arrive in Europe, and quietly shaping the next generation of Ancient Wisdom ranges. I'm planning to make some more Travel Style YouTube videos.. (please follow me) If you enjoy discovering what’s coming before it becomes mainstream — and like seeing how craft, culture and commerce connect — then I’d love you to come along for the ride.   Any suggestions or ideas are gratefully received..

David's AW News: About Tomas, Erika and Buddha

Greetings from Trnova, Slovakia. Yes, I'm in our Eastern Europe distribution warehouse.. Our big beautiful (Buddha) warehouse. On Wednesday afternoon, Tomas, Raul (the IT wizard), and me took an Uber to Leeds Bradford airport and boarded a packed and rowdy Ryanair flight to Bratislava. When we landed, all the Slovaks clapped and cheered, have you experienced that? I think only Slovak and Czech people do that.  Last week, I was telling you about sinkholes in Bali and our new arrivals. If you missed it, you can catch up here . Regular readers will know about our Trnova adventures. Greetings from Bali Hope you are doing well! Last week I was telling you about our Java road trip, we went to beautiful Blitar City and I sprinkled petals in a special place.. if you missed it you can catch up here . I was also telling you what product comes from Blitar City and why you should be selling this. (see below) From Blitar we drove three hours to the nearest commercial airport in Surabaya. The route took us through small rural villages on almost dust track roads in real backwater Indonesia's, occasionally catching views of Mount Lima . Eventually getting to the new toll road then arriving in Indonesia's second mega city with modern fly-overs across the city to the beautiful and efficient airport. The contrast between rural and big city was dramatic...
